Eastern Bays Community Resilience Expo

Date: Sunday 24th March 2024

Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm

Location: Muritai School, 160 Muritai Road, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt

Are you ready? Do you have a plan? What will you do in an emergency? Will you be safe? Who will you contact and how?

Hosted by the Eastbourne Community Board, this expo is intended to activate and support the Eastbourne Community to become safer and more resilient at a family / whanau and community / kāinga level.

Resilience includes day to day safety, having plans and resources in place for more significant emergencies, and acting to prevent or minimise future incidents where possible.

The scope is as broad as you can imagine, from ways to stay safe around your home, dealing with family or community emergencies all the way to responding to generational issues such as climate change.

WREMO will be hosting two Emergency Response Practices throughout the Expo.

Come along and find out more about the Eastbourne Community Emergency Hub and the types of help that may be needed after an emergency.

Have fun meeting together and practicing various roles with an interactive earthquake scenario.

Open to all ages and abilities, no experience needed!
