Are you ready to SHAKE OUT?! 

New Zealand ShakeOut is our national earthquake drill and tsunami hīkoi, taking place on Thursday 19th October 2023 at 9:30am.

ShakeOut takes place across the country to remind people of the right action to take during an earthquake. Drop, Cover and Hold. You can also practice a tsunami hīkoi (evacuation walk) if you're in a coastal area.

Wherever you are on October 19th, make sure you Drop, Cover and Hold to take part in ShakeOut!
